It occurred to me once,
That it shouldn't be too difficult,
To pen down my thoughts; my words,
In such a form that they rhyme.
And so emerges this poem of mine.
This is where it gets hard; more difficult,
When I think of the topic on which I will write,
Options a plenty - its tough to decide.
Shall I write about a person dear,
An ode to someone I hold very near.
Or shall I, tales of nature's beauty sing,
Of how wonderfully on the foliage green,
Does the patter of the raindrops ring.
Or shall I yet, everyone with an anecdote regale,
Or perhaps, write something inspirational, something wise,
Of how to succeed, must one try and try again without fail,
Of how must one always speak the truth and never tell lies.
****
So many thoughts and, yet, to decide what to pen, I am at a loss,
Perhaps its best I let this poetic desire of mine go for a toss.
My first blog ever... A blog which I shall (hopefully) keep up to date with the happenings in my life...Hopefully this will provide a medium for me to get in touch with my creative side once again.

At a crossroads
Thinking of the path to chose,
At a crossroads, I stand,
Which way to embark on,
Amongst the ones at hand,
Seeking some inspiration new,
Or waiting for a divine que,
Questions a-plenty,
Answers but a few...
At a crossroads, I stand,
Which way to embark on,
Amongst the ones at hand,
Seeking some inspiration new,
Or waiting for a divine que,
Questions a-plenty,

Jab we met....jab we parted
***Attempt at telling a story in rhyme***
***Warning: Somewhat long***
***This is all imaginary stuff in here :)***
The journey
I remember vividly,
How it all started.
How, packing bags hurriedly,
To the station I darted.
Huffing and puffing,
The train I caught.
Though the journey was uneventful,
What was to follow was surely naught.
The symposium
A grand opening to the symposium it was,
From the countries corners, visitors had flocked.
Representing my school, I was there too,
And as yet unknown to me, so were you.
The meeting
Twas twilight soon,
I remember twas the full moon.
Girl, I even remember the day,
Twas the 5th of May.
Roaming at night with my pals,
I chanced upon you;
You were with your group of gals;
They were pretty lasses too.
But, from the start,
My heart beat just for you.
The days I wish could forever last
Furtive glances and smiles were exchanged,
When our paths would "accidentally" cross,
And with the passing days,
We came to love each others ways.
The talks shared under the starry skies,
The walks taken in the moonlight,
The moments of laughter,
Of pure fun, of pure joy...
Jab we parted
But, alas,
When do good times ever last,
And much too soon for our liking,
It was time for us to part.
Solemnly did we goodbye bade,
And promises to keep in touch were made...
With moist eyes and a heavy heart,
I dragged myself to the station,
And the train I caught.
Though the journey was uneventful,
What had just happened was surely naught.

Of life and fleeting visions
I have this vision,
A plan laid out before,
Of how my life should pan,
Ere I reach the other shore.
It is not detailed -
Only blurry does it appear,
Yet, just on this vision mere,
I move forth relentless,
Pursing something elusive -
Some lofty ambition, some zenith,
That I aspire to scale,
Yet what does doing so entail?
Of that, I know no jot.
Frustrating is this, I find,
The lack of clarity does play on my mind.
But then, perhaps, this is how it is meant to be,
Perhaps there is reason to why I can't, the future see,
Perhaps life would not such fun be,
Sans the exhilaration of discovery.
A plan laid out before,
Of how my life should pan,
Ere I reach the other shore.
It is not detailed -
